Hi , I'm Dan
I'm a composer, sound designer and audio engineer for games, film, and podcasts from Chicago, IL.
I’m just like you, I have been making sounds my whole life. The only difference is that I record them, combine them, and put them back out into the world.
I grew up on rock and roll and video games. I studied classical composition. I wrote music for national commercials and Disney pop stars. I started a band, lived in the tour van, and played the festivals.
Now, I’m a composer and sound designer working in new media– composing music and designing audio for games, voice, and scripted podcasts.
My mission is to create immersive sound experiences that are emotional, honest, and singular.

About Me
In 2016 I joined Scientific Games where I create music and sound effects for 10 to 15 games a year. I've had the privilege of working on some large properties like Star Trek and James Bond. I also work frequently with Gimlet Media/Spotify in Brooklyn, New York. Podcasts include the score for SANDRA starring Kristen Wiig, Ethan Hawke, and Alia Shawkat and sound design for The Two Princes of which AV Club said "its performances, sound design, and irrepressible heart make for a winning experience."

I started my career with the band Gemini Club who signed with Red Bull, played the festival circuit including Hangout and Lollapalooza and racked up millions of plays on YouTube and Spotify. At the same time I was working for Chicago Recording Company's in-house music production team OneSun Entertainment where I composed music for brands including Maytag and Secret as well as producing pop and hip hop records for the OneSun stable of artists culminating in #3 single on Radio Disney "What Can I Say" by Sheleigh. Later, I joined the team at JIRA under Ira Antelis and Jim Hoffman composing for brands such as Kellogg's and Beef. I also produced and performed in the band MONAKR with grammy nominated signer Matthew Santos.
